NEMPAC’s Winter Concert Series is back: “Heritage and Identity,” a series of three concerts celebrating different cultures in their uniqueness, sometimes intersecting, clashing, or harmonizing. This series is a meet-the-artist experience that will spotlight musical identities and cultural history.

This concert will showcase aspects of Education, Culture and Identity, with ties to El Sistema through our guest artist, Orlando Cela. We are planning to have a conversation about land acknowledgement with a member of the First Nations community from the Massachussett Tribe. Orlando will also play on a Native American flute – music from Venezuela, Peru, Germany, Native American cultures and more will be presented.
